Tuscaloosa Division
In September of 1996, the Tuscaloosa office started by
training an estimator in his back yard and hiring three field employees.
We concentrated on small local work with local contractors. By October of
1997, Company 8 moved into a warehouse space owned by a local electrical
contractor where we were being recognized as a local drywall contractor by
all the local general contractors. Then, in February of 1998, Company 8
moved into its first true office on 8th street in downtown
Tuscaloosa. Business continued to grow and prosper as the company grew
into 35 field employees, one estimator, a field manager, a payroll clerk,
and an office manager. In September of the same year, Company 8 moved once
again into a 5,000 square foot office on 35th Street. Local
business continued to grow and we began following larger Birmingham
general contractors to some of their out-of-town work. In July of 2000,
the decision was made to add an office in Huntsville, AL under the
management of the Tuscaloosa office. As of May 2003, Company 8
(Tuscaloosa/Huntsville) continues to grow its business from Tuscaloosa to
Huntsville and all surrounding areas. We now have a client base from these
two offices of over 50 general contractors and it continues to grow. With
the combination of the two offices and their resources, we have 77 field
employees, 5 estimators, 2 field managers, a secretary, a payroll clerk,
and an office manager. |
